The M10 Wolverine Tank Destroyer was a formidable American tank, and was employed both by the US and later the British Army to counter the German tank threat.
The M10's M7 3-inch anti-tank gun was a vast improvement over the 75mm carried by the Sherman. Although the M10’s thin 37mm armour, along with its open-topped five-sided welded turret made it vulnerable to anti-tank weapons, it was ideally suited to placement in concealed positions in a defensive capability.
