Imperial Indigo is a very deep indigo colour, with a royal, almost material hue.
It can be used sparingly as a base layer for blues, purples, and even black to bring it up a bit to add depth and character.
By using lighter shading mediums, you can bring out the depth of this colour; Blue Water (MG2620) and Varicose Purple (MG2625), and White Fade (MG2610) will accentuate the colour, as will dry brushing sparcely with colours such as Base Indigo (MG2506), Base Violet (MG2507), Base Pink (MG2514) and Base Magenta (MG2520).
